- Lead and continue to build the Engineering team having an all hands-on deck attitude.
- Performs fundamental managerial duties with the software team including hiring decision, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, coaching and motivating staff, provisioning of formal and informal feedback and appraisal.
- Develop skillset as a mentor to a team. Begin to engage with more experienced leaders to learn to navigate challenging technical and business situations.
- Identifies and recommends project and activities as related to system direction and strategy.
- Establishes best practices and procedures/tools, programming standards, etc.
- Troubleshoots problems involving complex difficult issues.
- Meets with business analyst/stakeholder to determine requirements, gives input on prioritization to product owners whilst delivering SLAs.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on their product from both a technical and business perspective.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any IT-related course
- At least 8 years of experience in Software Development
- Preferably with E-commerce Industry experience
- Technical skills on e-commerce solutions and tech stack
- Proven experience in mobile app development
- Experience in NodeJS, React Native, ReactJS and AWS
- Experience in Manual Testing and Automation
- Substantiated knowledge and experience in leading an Engineering Team
- Ability to conceptualize technical processes, design them and select right technologies and architectures
- Ability to navigate complex technical situations and to explain costs, benefits, tradeoffs, etc., of product decisions.
- Ability to work in a highly energetic and fast-moving environment
- Experienced in people management
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them and meet deadlines
- Project Management Experience is an advantage
- Enforces high technical standards for their products.
- Expert knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Development and CI/CD.
- Experience in building and ramping up teams from ground up
- Self-starter, can work independently and under pressure
- Ability to conduct effective one-on-ones, coach. mentor, motivate, inspire and influence others.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, forecast with less effort and more accuracy.
- Ability to build and maintain a high-performance team.
