- Provide high quality clinical assistance to Anaesthetists and theatre team
- Assist the theatre team with all facets of anaesthesia
- Deliver safe and professional practices
- Prepare patients for anaesthesia or sedation including, documentation, equipment checking, positioning, cannulating, and handovers to other team members
- Be a team player as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Participate in training sessions as required
- A qualified Anaesthetic Technician OR experienced RNAA
- Must be registered with Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand OR New Zealand Nursing Council
- Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate/APC or ability to obtain this
- Proven previous experience in operating theatres
- Clear and effective communication is essential
- Proven ability to work in a co-operative environment
- Overall professional presentation
