A new opportunity has arisen within our North Island Livestock Supply Chain operations, as our Livestock Business Manager - Supply Chain.This is an excellent opportunity for a high performing individual to join PGW in a newly created livestock position, to manage and further develop on our North Island supply chain and procurement operations and deliverables, whilst building on our existing partnerships and developing new strategic opportunities.In this role you will develop strong relationships with key partners with a clear approach of adding value for the client. Working with the Livestock business you will develop, facilitate, and coordinate dedicated existing and new supply programs matching the needs of seasonal and weekly processing capacity and supply, market demand programs for preferred partners across all applicable species. Developing close relationships within the business to match our expertise and knowledge to supply chain solutions will be vital.Reporting directly to the National Livestock Supply Chain Manager and working in partnership with the Regional Livestock Managers, this role will be able to leverage off PGW's unique inhouse expertise with GO-Stock, breed genetics, agronomy, animal health and the largest livestock agency team of over 220 agents covering every region in New Zealand. Where applicable this role will manage the day-to-day operational demands and supply, including reporting, scheduling and forecasting requirements.PGW is looking to utilise its extensive inhouse data and knowledge of the livestock industry from traded store livestock through to prime stock, and this role will assist in the development of smart analytics as a real point of difference. There is also an opportunity to challenge convention and consider key future trend such as food quality, traceability, and sustainability programs.In return, the skills and experience you will contribute to the role will include the following:

Have a proven track record in the Meat, Livestock and/Procurement or Livestock Supply-chain sectors.
Have managed livestock supply/procurement programs successfully.
Can offer sound judgement and fresh ideas to a strategic level.
Have experience in dealing in a dynamic and highly competitive industry.
