Ngā Kaitiaki o Ngāti Kauwhata seeks a passionate and visionary Kaiwhakahaere Matua (General Manager) to join our team and drive impactful change.Position Overview: As the Kaiwhakahaere Matua/General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Ngā Kaitiaki o Ngāti Kauwhata. Reporting directly to the Chairperson, you will lead a dedicated team, foster community engagement, and ensure the effective implementation of initiatives to enrich our people's lives.Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction in alignment with the organization's vision and goals.
Manage and supervise staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including iwi members, government agencies, and community partners.
Oversee financial management, including budgeting, fundraising, and grant applications.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
Represent Ngā Kaitiaki o Ngāti Kauwhata at external events, meetings, and forums.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a community or non-profit organization.
Strong understanding of tikanga Māori and commitment to upholding the values of Ngāti Kauwhata.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, develop funding strategies, and drive organizational growth.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and governance frameworks.
