- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, materials, and finished products to identify any deviations or defects.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize processes.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to address quality-related concerns and facilitate resolution.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Experience in timber grading
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in timber or woodworking.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to quality and safety.
