Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.We are dedicated to building a team that thrives on diversity and inclusion, welcoming individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds.He kōrero mō te tūranga - About the RoleThe Department of Medicine at Tauranga Hospital consists of consultants working across Acute General Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Renal, Neurology, Oncology, Health in Aging, Haematology and Palliative Care. Trainees are exposed to a wide variety of medical cases and a comprehensive teaching programme runs throughout the year.There are 36 Medical Registrar positions and we have vacancies in December accredited for advanced training in General and Acute Medicine, Oncology and Geriatric Medicine. We also have two dedicated positions for Advanced Trainees in Cardiology and Gastroenterology which are appointed nationally by their respective training committees.The positions are based at Tauranga Hospital which is a busy secondary care hospital of around 350 beds with approximately 90 medical beds; 39 elderly/rehabilitation beds, including acute stroke unit, 10 ICU beds; 10 CCU beds and 28 Acute Assessment beds.Eligibility Criteria:Closing date for applicationsRegistrars: Monday 10 June 2024Offers made onRegistrars: Monday 19 August 2024Acceptances byRegistrars: Monday 26 August 2024All applications should include
