Convergence of Information Technology (IT) systems used for data centric computing with operational technology (OT) systems used to monitor events, processes and devices, will continue and accelerate into the future - so maintenance and continuous improvement of our cyber, physical and personnel security landscape is essential.About the teamThe Security Services team at Transpower, is responsible for a range of services that include cybersecurity; physical and personnel security domain management across offices and substations; ensuring Transpower's identities and systems are world-class, accurate, effective, and efficiently managed; providing risk and assurance services to the Information Services and Technology Division; and managing physical access and site security.About the roleOur context and wider environment are unique, and this presents a great opportunity for a Site Security Specialist who will be responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of Transpower's physical access systems and accuracy of systems data. This includes hands-on operational processing of Transpower staff, contractors and consultants for access requests, changes, competency expiry and identity assurance activities administering our specialist systems and data bases.You'll also be responsible for the contract administration and operations of the specialist services contractors associated with physical access and security and utilise your technical capability supporting the Site Security Manager including with projects.What will you bring?You'll have well-developed communication and influencing skills - both written and verbal and a qualification such as New Zealand Certificate in Security, Electronic Security and/or Associate Protection Professional (APP) or their equivalent OR equivalent experience in physical security and access systems.Your cover letter will demonstrate:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within the physical access and security domain
  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration
  • Extensive knowledge of identity management practices and technologies
  • Knowledge of and practical experience in developing and implementing physical security designs and applying the Protective Security Requirements (PSR)
