Job Description:Our WhyDatacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people's lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.About the Role (your why)The Project Manager is responsible for the end to end delivery of projects, focusing of Cyber Security and Infrastructure uplift.What you'll do
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest quality standard, within scope, in budget and on time Delivery management of medium risk, medium-complexity projects.
  • Coordinating documentation, design, development and testing of enhancements and new development projects.
  • Taking full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of projects.
  • Tailoring project methodology to individual projects.
  • Estimating, scheduling and planning resources for the allocated component of a development project.
  • Controlling project schedules and ensuring that applications programs are delivered within given timeframes, meet user requirements, and are easily maintainable.
  • Providing direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance Contributor to RFPs and presales activities; Statement of Work creation.
  • Facilitating and managing Discovery engagements.
  • Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner, monitoring and forecasting project financials and the realisation of defined project benefits, Creation and management of project schedules and ensuring that outcomes are delivered. within given timeframes, meet user requirements, and are easily maintainable.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and overall integrity of the project.
  • Reporting on the progress of development modules against project timeframes, milestones and budget.
  • Transparently communicating overall Project progress and forecasting to the Steering Group through exceptionally clear and comprehensive but lean reporting and metrics that give the customer the knowledge needed to make appropriate decisions throughout the lifecycle of the delivery.
  • Effectively communicating relevant project progress and information to customer and internal stakeholder groups, by establishing the relevant governance forums and project meetings and project reporting.
  • Ensuring maximum levels of productivity are achieved and maintained by individuals within project team.
What you'll bring
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of Project Management disciplines including commercials, financials, scope, time, quality, resourcing, communications, risk, and procurement management.
  • Plan-driven/predictive adaptive (iterative and Agile) delivery approaches Financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
  • Broad and deep understanding of cyber security frameworks, principles and related technology dependencies.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience managing small-mid size cyber security or technology projects Demonstrable experience in people management and mentoring of project employees. Experience liaising, and where required, managing 3rd party vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven project leadership and technical leadership skills Strong understanding of project management principles Ability to translate user needs into a technical solution.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to build and lead collaborative project teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives
  • Ability to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship building and management skills Strong influencing and persuasive ability
  • Ability to escalate with a solution focus Financial management, including cost estimation and budget tracking and reporting Self-management, multi-tasking, attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
Desirable:
  • Project Management, PRINCE2 or PMI certification.
  • Agile principles e.g. Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM1) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Science, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Scaled Agile e.g. sAFe Facilitation qualifications.
  • Lean methods qualifications.
  • Master of Business Administration.
