Inventory System Analyst - fixed termJOB DESCRIPTIONThis position description provides an indicative outline of the purpose and key responsibilities and tasks of the role.Title and Reporting RelationshipsPosition title:Inventory System AnalystReporting to:Project manager - Inventory Management Strategic ProjectLocation:AucklandPurpose of the RoleAn important strategic project has been initiated at ETEL focussed on the inventory management systems of the business from Demand forecasting through to despatch. The project aim is to understand current systems and to develop them to a world class state that enhance efficiency and optimise stock levels.The project is expected to last between 1 and 2 years.As a member of the Inventory Management strategic project team this role takes an active part in the evaluation and improvements of inventory systems.Personnel Dimensions(Employees reporting to this position directly and indirectly)Direct Reports:NilKey RelationshipsPeople and organisations both inside and outside of the company that this position would be required to work with.Internal Stakeholders:External Stakeholders:Senior Leadership Team and Leadership Team ManagersEpicorInventory Management Strategic Project team membersOperations, Procurement, supply chain and Business Improvement TeamsSales TeamEngineering TeamFinance TeamAccountabilities:(What is to be achieved)Actions:(How this is to be achieved)Measures of success:(Outcomes and Measures)Inventory Management Strategic Project
  • Work with the project team and others to review and implement improved systems around inventory management (right from Sales & Operations Planning through Scheduling/MRP through to managing raw materials, wip and finished goods).
  • Work with operations and supply chain to optimise EPICOR bills of materials and minimising variances.
  • Analyse inventory systems to accurately report forecast inventory levels.
  • Analyse stock variances and MRP suggestions to improve the systems
  • Document systems
  • Analyse inventory levels to work with stakeholders to minimise levels.
  • Inventory reconciliations
  • Assist to make stock counting as accurate as possible.
  • We have a new version of EPICOR called Kinetic coming in. Understand Kinetic to see how it can improve our inventory management and work with the project team to realise this.
  • Other tasks as required.
  • Inventory controls are in place and working to minimise risk to business
  • Inventory variances are clear and well explained
  • BoM accuracy and timely, accurate and insightful reporting around this
  • Systems are clearly documented and recorded in Promapp
  • Project deliverables including deadlines are met
  • Information supplied is accurate, timely and insightful.
  • Clear and persuasive communication to ensure system changes are embedded.
  • Kinetic opportunities are optimised

  • Ensure all Corrective Action Requirements (CAR's) are completed in a timely fashion and actions are communicated to the Business Intelligence department

  • Accidents are reported accurately and quickly (
  • To always act in a safe manner
  • First aid certification is obtained and maintained
