- Lead a team of Project Managers
- Financial Acumen: Provide strategic financial guidance, conduct thorough ROI analysis to assess the financial viability of projects and make informed decisions, implement robust financial controls to mitigate financial risks to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers through the Project Management lifecycle.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across NZ and OZ, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges and obstacles to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, optimizing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Advise on tailoring the delivery framework to achieve an appropriate project or programme structure.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and key milestones to senior management and key stakeholders.
- You will need to be based in Napier or, happy to relocate to Napier.
- Highly experienced in similar project management/PMO leadership roles in project delivery environments ideally within the SaaS, PaaS or other tech sector.
- Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing project budgets and ROI analysis.
- Strong team leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to engage successfully and credibly at multiple organisational levels.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- PMI or PRINCE2 or PMP certification preferred.
