You can make an impact on your community and on your own professional development – all whilst enjoying what Northland has to offer.About the RoleThis is a varied and diverse position that provides client focused reception duties to whaiora and their family/whanau and administrative support to the Whangarei Community Mental Health and Addiction Services (CMHAS). The successful candidate will possess a strong administration background, with the ability to provide high level administrative support and demonstrate excellent organisational skills.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Handling telephone and other general enquiries from whaiora, their families/whanau, referral agencies and other health providers, or members of the public
  • Maintaining and ordering of supplies and stationery
  • Typing of medical letters or documents, in a timely manner
  • Meeting coordination and minute taking
The ability to form effective working relationships with a wide range of people within the health sector and with the people and whanau we serve is essential.This role works a five day week (Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week) and is a permanent position.About You
  • Proven high level administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Have an understanding of Multidisciplinary teams
  • Professional attitude with honesty, integrity and empathy
  • Clean and valid Full drivers' licence
  • Experience and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
