- Effectively manage the day-to-day operations to ensure that the allocation of work and driver schedules is adhered to.
- Manage subcontractor contracts.
- Facilitate continuous improvement to transport operations.
- Effectively manage the day-to-day warehouse operations
- Work with Key Customers to manage and deliver required volumes across warehouse operations.
- Support the Warehousing, Transport and the Finance teams in the establishing of contracts & transport agreements for all customers.
- Develops additional revenue from existing accounts by identifying work Linfox could additionally provide.
- Build effective networks and working relationships with key internal and external contacts.
- At least 5 years working experience within supply chain /warehouse/logistics.
- Previous experience in a management role
- Previous experience working in a fast paced multi customer environment - essential
- Sound understanding and knowledge of relevant New Zealand transport rules and regulations.
- Understanding of inventory management and general freight operations
- Excellent customer management and relationship building skills.
- Understanding of warehouse management and relevant transport systems, SAP knowledge would be highly advantageous.
