We provide industry leading transport and warehousing services across diverse industries using a network of company warehouses, sites, transport modes and operational levels of expertise.What does the job look like?We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong focus on service delivery. This is permanent role which will involve the ability to work within a unique environment servicing the warehousing and transport needs within this region. Key areas:
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operations to ensure that the allocation of work and driver schedules is adhered to.
  • Manage subcontractor contracts.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement to transport operations.
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Work with Key Customers to manage and deliver required volumes across warehouse operations.
  • Support the Warehousing, Transport and the Finance teams in the establishing of contracts & transport agreements for all customers.
  • Develops additional revenue from existing accounts by identifying work Linfox could additionally provide.
  • Build effective networks and working relationships with key internal and external contacts.

  • At least 5 years working experience within supply chain /warehouse/logistics.
  • Previous experience in a management role
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced multi customer environment - essential
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of relevant New Zealand transport rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of inventory management and general freight operations
  • Excellent customer management and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse management and relevant transport systems, SAP knowledge would be highly advantageous.
