About the role
We are looking for a Senior Registered Nurse to lead our team of passionate Registered Nurses and Caregivers, who are providing first class care and services at our lovely Somervale village located in Mt Maunganui, the heart of the Bay of Plenty.This is a Permanent, full time position working Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 4.30pm, but you will need to be flexible to cover RN shifts as required. You will also be required to be 'On call' every 3rd weekend and you will be paid an 'On Call' allowance during this time.We offer top hourly rates, incredible allowances, plus a retention bonus and great staff benefits such as paid 'wellness' days off and your birthday off.   • Managing and overseeing a team of registered nurses, ensuring day to day high levels of clinical delivery. Ensuring clinical compliance meets auditing requirements.
  • Supporting, identifying, and upskilling the needs and requirements of the registered nurses and care workers. As well as providing appropriate direction and delegation.
  • Working and liaising closely with the Business Care Manager to undertake risk management, quality projects and improvements.
  • Using your clinical skills to access and identify the needs of our residents to be able to formulate/review individual care plans.
  • Ensure compassionate and excellent quality of care is provided to all residents.
  • Develop lasting relationships with our residents and their families/ whanau.
About you
We are looking for an experience Senior Registered Nurse who can deliver outstanding services to our residents and possess the essential skills and experience:
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • Aged Care experience with management or Advanced Clinical Practice essential
  • Current InterRai Certification
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Provides Nursing Practice in a culturally safe manner and supports the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
