Are you an experienced Clinician wanting better resourcing and more creative interventions?We are now looking for a registered Clinician with health sector/addictions experience to take on the Advanced Practitioner role for a brand-new service in partnership with CADS that aims to provide continuing care for tāngata whai ora and their whānau under the (Substance Addiction - Compulsory Assessment and Treatment (SACAT) Act.Based at our New Lynn community hub Te Tāwharau; this community-based pilot covers the whole Auckland region from Wellsford down to Port Waikato. The service is mobile with access to a flexi-fund, ensuring we are adequately resourced to provide agile, creative and responsive support.You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that supports whai ora with addiction (alcohol & drug) and co-existing physical and mental health challenges on their recovery journey. The service hours are 10am - 6pm, with some flexibility required to be responsive to tangata whai ora and their whānau.An outstanding Clinician, you will also have:· A relevant qualification & full HPCA/DAPAANZ registration· Experience of complex case management in a health, mental health and/or addictions setting· Expertise in risk management and holistic addiction/mental health models of care· Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders & external agencies· Demonstrated knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and of the cultural norms and customs of tangāta whenua, Pacific peoples and other diverse cultural groups· Strong communication, prioritisation and organisational skills· A collaborative approach and ability to work flexibly in a changing environment· A full New Zealand driver's licenceIn return we offer:· A competitive salary of $72,321 to $79,872 depending on registration and experience· A work car (for service delivery and commuting to/from work) + a laptop and mobile phone· 22 days annual leave and 5 days paid study leave per annum· A Monday to Friday role, no shift or weekend work· The opportunity to be involved in the development of a new community service.More about us:Odyssey has supported thousands of New Zealanders whose lives are affected by alcohol, drug or other addiction challenges.
