Aquaheat Facility Services is a premier provider of facility maintenance services being 100% New Zealand owned and operated with over 70 years of history providing a comprehensive range of facility maintenance services to a selected range of local government, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers throughout New Zealand.Aquaheat Facility Services, based in Auckland is recruiting for a HVAC Mechanical Service Technician.We offer a competitive remuneration wage of $35 - $42 Gross per hour, in line with the experience you bring to the role.Responsibilities for the role include:

Efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics and installation works relating to HVAC Mechanical (air conditioning and refrigeration) as requested/ instructed by the HVAC Mechanical Manager, Supervisor and/ or Service Coordinator
At all times enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/ industry standards
This role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high quality HVAC Mechanical trade service
The HVAC Mechanical Service Technician position therefore requires an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and the ability to manage their own time in order to meet deadlines
The HVAC Mechanical Service Technician is further responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general public
This position will require availability for after hours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis
The HVAC Mechanical Service Technician will champion the continued development and delivery of the Company's guiding principles.

To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:

Qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrical
5 years post trade experience
Valid, unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence
Installation and maintenance of HVAC and Mechanical Plant
Commercial and industrial installation and maintenance
Experience with building services mechanical systems
Experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests
Experience with using hand or power equipment
Experience working within Health & Safety guidelines

Ideally, you will have broad HVAC maintenance experience with the ability to prioritise and manage your work activities. Whilst not essential, the ability to work with and train apprentices and trade assistants will be highly regarded.We are looking for someone who has a genuine belief in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a "can do" attitude. The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience in the trade, with a proven track record in fault finding and troubleshooting.The Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders.
