With more than 94,000 employees, we operate a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionIn this key role you will provide quality and timely design verification services and technical advice on cranes and lifting equipment to our customers for the Industrial Regulatory Team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration of the crane design verification business; providing technical and organisational leadership.
  • Design verification services for lifts, cranes and other industrial lifting equipment in accordance with the Regulations and TSG Management Manual
  • Plan approval services for the machinery outfit of surface craft and harbour lifting devices and machinery in accordance with TSG’s Management Manual and the provisions of the Maritime Transport Act 1994
  • Reviewing and improving TSG processes and procedures for securing and delivering design approvals.
  • Fulfilling the responsibilities and authorities assigned to your position title as detailed in the TSG Management Manual.
  • To identify and assist in developing and securing both new business and new business opportunities.
  • Mentor and provide technical training to junior verification engineers to develop their skills and expertise in design verification of cranes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • CPEng or similar qualification for registration with Engineering NZ to perform design verification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in crane design verification.
  • In-depth knowledge of international design codes and standards for cranes and lifting equipment
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard design and analysis software for cranes.
  • Quality management experience either managing systems and/or auditing roles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
