- This is a full-time, permanent position from Monday to Friday
- May be required to participate on the standby roster
- Ensuring the security of supply through routine maintenance and inspection on the gas network.
- Participating in emergency response, site control and repair co-ordination, including 24 hour call roster.
- Carrying out the construction and maintenance of the consumer gas meter stations.
- Liaising with local authorities and utilities.
- Installation, repair, and removal of consumer gas meter stations
- Repairing and testing all types of regulator and metering equipment.
- Promoting gas safety initiatives and strategies.
- Documenting and reporting on incident reports, maintenance and construction activities.
- Good customer service and public relation skills.
- A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Experience with gas pressure control equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- National Certificate Level 3 Gas Network Operations preferred (Operation and Maintenance or Construction).
- Able to work in a wider team and contribute to team performance.
- Current drivers licence essential.
- 3 years minimum gas network experience preferred.
- Good computer literacy.
