Kia mau, kia ita, kia ū - haumi e, hui e, tāiki e!Te Tūranga | About the roleThe Spaces and Places team is responsible for the planning, delivery and ongoing management of Parks, Open Space, Community Facilities and Council Property. We create and care for spaces and places that our communities love and where our environment can thrive.As part of the Spaces and Places Design team you will be part of a passionate and professional team supporting the design of all the fun spaces in Tauranga City! As a Graduate Landscape Architect you will have the opportunity to support and work across a wide variety of projects including walkways, parks and streetscapes. The role is principally design focused but will also give you the opportunity to engage with community.Ngā Pukenga | What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you'll bring;
  • Tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design.
  • New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects (NZILA) membership preferred.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the role mana whenua play in the design process.
  • Proven computer skills with proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, ideally AutoCAD, and/or Vectorworks, Revit.
  • Strong graphic design skills, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketchup).
