HEALTH NEW ZEALAND - Te Whatu Ora – Waikato DistrictPalliative Care Advanced Trainee RegistrarWe are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual for the position of Advanced Trainee Registrar within our Palliative Care Service.This post offers a unique opportunity for training in Palliative. The RMO will work with a team of senior clinicians, and an advanced trainee.The Regional Cancer Centre is associated with a large Tertiary Hospital in Hamilton, and is New Zealand’s second largest cancer treatment facility. You will join a dynamic team of 7 Medical Oncologists, 10 Radiation Oncologists, 10 Haematologists and 5 Palliative Care Physicians managing all aspects of solid tumours and lymphomas.Please note:· You will need to supply 3 current referees· If you are an overseas doctor please visit the Medical Council of New Zealand web site to ensure that your qualifications meet their criteria for registration to practice medicine in New Zealand.Waikato Hospital is a teaching hospital and a tertiary referral Centre for much of the North Island with a catchment of 900,000 people.Hamilton is the third largest city in North Island; approximately 2 hours’ drive south of Auckland, and offers a superb lifestyle and quality-of-life working environment.
