At our Regional Support Workshop, we maintain a wide variety of equipment and are currently seeking a Heavy Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team.The successful candidate will be a key member of the workshop team, ensuring maximum fleet up time through preventative maintenance and repair. The role involves working closely with other members of the team ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to and objectives are met.What you'll do:
  • Repair and maintain a wide variety of Earthmoving and Construction Equipment
  • Identify and order parts as required
  • Actively promote Health and Safety within the workshop and wider business
  • Assist with training apprentices and increasing knowledge within the business
  • Maintain accurate records of work done, consumables used, etc.
What you will need:
  • A mechanical trade Qualification in Heavy automotive plant and equipment or equivalent qualification is required
  • Strong product knowledge in the earthmoving/construction sectors
  • Full class 1 Driver Licence (other classes and Endorsements advantageous)
  • A can-do attitude and a drive to learn/grow your career
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information
Job Details:
  • We currently have one permanent full-time position in Manukau (40hrs per week)
  • Standard working days will be Monday - Friday with flexible hours available
  • Pay range is $35 - $45 per hour based on skills/experience
  • Hirepool is an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ (INZ). While we ideally want to recruit NZers and people who can work permanently in NZ, we are now in a position to consider offshore applicants (in line with INZ requirements)
