  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A degree in public policy or similar.
  • An understanding of the Local Government Act 2002 and other legislation that Council operates under.
  • Project management experience with the ability to drive projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare and present clear, concise reports.
  • The ability to process, interpret and understand complex documents and legislation.
What will I be part of?This is an opportunity to join the newly created Strategic Planning and Advocacy Unit. Reporting to the Corporate Planning and Advocacy manager, you will be working on Corporate Planning processes including the Long Term Plan, Infrastructure Strategy, Annual Plan, Annual Report and Pre-Election Report.You will be creating draft policy documents and council reports, while providing advice and information to both the organisation and also Elected Members.This job is for you if:
