Put simply, sustainability is what we do.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleReporting to the Regional Manager, your responsibilities involve the growth and development of our community centre, resource recovery park, local transfer station and collection vehicles covering the larger Waikato region.Consistently achieving and exceeding contract objectives, while maintaining exceptional operational performance and upholding required standards is expected. This will be achieved through the proactive management of a large team whilst maintaining accurate reporting and analysis of business metrics.You will investigate and identify actions, including escalation to appropriate levels to achieve required issue resolutions within required timeframes and continuous improvement of service delivery.As a leader in the business, you will coach staff and consistently improve our performance across all aspects of the operation with a constant focus on exceptional levels of health & safety and pride in ensuring contractual services and customer-first care are delivered to an exceptional standard.QualificationsWho are you?We’re keen to discuss this position with professionals who thrive on the challenge of attaining operational performance excellence and retaining and developing business over the longer term both with existing stakeholders and with prospective clients.As an ideal candidate you will have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business administration and/or logistics.
  • Five years or more experience in a contract management, facility management or logistics role.
  • Proven leadership, people management and team working skills.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and satisfying competing demands.
  • Moderate experience within the transport/waste/logistics and recycling industries is desirable.
  • Exemplary communication skills and the ability to deal at all organisational levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite Reasonably developed mechanical aptitude desirable.
  • Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
