Hours of work: full-timeTo view academic salary scales, pleasePosition OverviewThe School of Agriculture and Environment, Massey University, is seeking an applicant for the position of Tutor/Senior Tutor in Animal Science. The purpose of this position is to assist in the delivery of the Bachelor of Animal Science degree. The successful applicant would;

Provide assistance to Animal Science staff in the preparation and running of the practical and laboratory sessions and tutoring within the Animal Science degree and in related disciplines, including assisting with marking.
Design and develop distance and online teaching material.
Coordinate visits and develop physical and online material for animal science-related student engagement activities including; school visits, high school STREAM sites, university experience days, Open days, outreach activities, and BAnSci orientation activities.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a basic knowledge of Animal Science and related disciplines, and be able to undertake responsibility for co-developing and co-delivering the different courses taught by Animal Science Staff. They would need to have animal handling experience and teaching experience, including working with High School Students. They would also need to have experience in designing and developing online Animal Science based educational materials.The successful applicant should have a degree in Animal Science, a postgraduate qualification in a related Animal Science field, or an equivalent relevant undergraduate degree.
