We understand the challenges tertiary study can bring and the importance of a holistic approach to keeping well, providing a multi-pronged approach to support academic success and the development of life skills.About the Role:The Business Support Manager position is a national role that provides onsite leadership and support of the Wellington based student accommodation team; is responsible for the accommodation business support functions across the Accommodation Service. A key focus of the role is maintaining efficient and effective business support processes and services across all three Massey accommodation locations/ campuses, specifically the financial, and administrative functions that assist us to meet contractual, and legal obligations to residents living within the university’s accommodation complexes.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite leadership and support to the Wellington-based student accommodation team.
- Serve as the financial lead for the service, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
- Lead accommodation business support functions and customer software.
- Maintain efficient business processes and software management across all three accommodation locations.
- Manage administrative functions to fulfil contractual and legal obligations to residents.
- Proven experience in management, preferably in the accommodation or hospitality sector.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with compliance standards, including the Education Code of Practice and tenancy requirements.
- Commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
