Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst Job Description: Position Overview: The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities within the organization. This role involves partnering with various departments to provide insightful financial analysis, aiding in strategic decisionmaking processes, and ensuring the company's financial health and performance objectives are met. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Assist in the creation of long-term strategic financial plans. Evaluate and analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and decision-making processes. Preparation of Project Reports , Projections for various stakeholders. Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review. Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance. Assist in the preparation of presentations for executive meetings and board discussions. Business Partnering: Partner with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide analytical support. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and ad-hoc analyses. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting financial planning and analysis. Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical and analytical skills. Working closely with financial institutions on raising capital and effectively using existing limits. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's degree or professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CMA is a plus). Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a corporate environment. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis. Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Knowledge of GAAP and financial principles.
