Job Description Job Purpose: Toachievetargetproductionintheshiftwithoptimumequipmentavailabilityensuringsafetyandqualitystandardsinshifts.Alsoresponsibleforeffectivemanpowerutilizationandenhancingtheirskills. Dimensions: Cast House Production - 1000 MT/ Month Job Context & Major Challenges: HindalcoAlmexAerospaceLimitedisfirstIndustryinIndiatoproducesuperlargediameteraerospaceAluminumAlloyBillets/Slabs.Thesewillbeusedforaerospaceindustriesinthecountryandabroad.ItisaJointVenturecompanyofHindalcoandAlmex,USA.HindalcoAlmexAerospaceLimitedhascurrentaluminumbillet/Slabcapacityof12000MTPAinthefirstphaseofcommissioning.Thecapacityshalleventuallyincreaseto46000MTPAbyyear2010.Major Challenges : 1. Achieve target production. 2. Effective manpower utilization & skillenhancement 3. General Maintenance of the plant. 4. Coordination with outsourced agencies.5. Plant safety. 4) Key Result Areas/Accountabilities: Key Result Areas/Accountabilities Supporting Actions Accountability-Production Achieve Target production. - Execution of production planning - Coordination with other departments like, lab to get optimum output. - Effective manpower deployment - Monitoring of equipment condition. - Implementation of improvement jobs Quality Maintain the product quality as per customer requirement. - Trouble shooting quality related issues in the shift. - Achieve desired quality of the product by controlling the process parameters within the specified range. Cost Management Ensure variable cost within budgeted norms. - Optimum use of key performance parameters like LPG/ Propane, Power, Melt loss, Stores etc. - Optimum manpower deployment. - Cost saving projects Equipment Availability Ensure maximum equipment availability in the shift. - Attend break downs in the shifts -Coordinate with electrical, mechanical & instrument team. -Coordination with outsourced agencies in the shift People Development Ensure effective human resource utilization and their skills and to make high performance work culture - Manpower deployment. - Training of operators regarding process parameter control. - Preparation of skill matrix of operators for identification of training needs. System Management Implementation of company wide activities i.e. WCM, Safety, AS-9100, OHSAS 18001, EMS 14001 etc. - Ensure training of operators to implement company wide activities e.g. ISO, WCM, Safety etc and regular follow up. - Ensure SOP's are followed at work place.
