Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute age-appropriate swimming training programs tailored to students ranging from beginners to advanced levels. Provide thorough instruction in swimming techniques, encompassing strokes, breathing, and diving, while prioritizing safety and proper form. Conduct assessments to evaluate students' swimming abilities and monitor their progress over time. Plan and oversee swimming practices, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols. Coordinate and supervise swimming competitions, both intra-school and against external teams, fostering a culture of sportsmanship and teamwork. Collaborate with fellow coaches and school staff to integrate swimming activities into the broader physical education curriculum. Maintain swimming equipment and facilities in optimal condition, promptly reporting any maintenance issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Certification as a Swimming Coach from a recognised governing body. Demonstrated experience coaching swimming at the school, club, or competitive level, with a proven track record in developing swimmers of diverse abilities. Knowledge of swimming techniques, training principles, and safety guidelines. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages. Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail, particularly in planning and executing swimming programs and events. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
