General scope of the role: Driving the Vendor Development process by understanding the project requirements through Kick off and Design Review meetings, identifying vendors and conducting vendor visits to check capability to deliver products in time, implementing and managing projects to a successful conclusion. Establishing accountability, establishing timelines, and establishing goals. To produce acknowledgement, project specific and product improvement drawings as requested. To update the company's standard product lines as required and undertake given tasks to get develop, Customize, and enhance the company's products as needed. Typically requires an academic degree (B.E. Mech / Production/ MBA Operation) and minimum of 6-8 years directly relevant work experience. To document work via electronic format in an organized traceable process. Ability to handle challenges in projects especially in vendor development area for Product and Process oriented manufacturing. To work within budgetary constraints, in a cost effective, diligent and organized manner. To provide accurate estimates of the time required for Localization project. To identify standardization opportunities. To Handle NCN and quality audits regularly to ensure quality outputs. To provide technical assistance for Technical Data Sheets and Product Manuals. Delivery of improvement in overall value (quality, cost, delivery, performance) from subcontracts. Coordinate closely with Design, Techno Commercial and Engineering & Operations for continuity and overall program effectiveness. Collaborate with all stakeholders involved to develop the sub-contractor partner commercial and skillsets required to support and drive the strategy. Evaluate assigned contracts to identify, document, and manage key prime contract and subcontract risks in relation to scope, schedule, and terms through the life of the project. Ensure that subcontract internal estimates are completed using internal standard norms for benchmarking purposes prior to award of the subcontracts. Develop/Maintain approved subcontractors list for the project and help updating company's subcontractor database. Verify the invoices submitted by Subcontractors in accordance with the Methods of Measurement defined in the Subcontract. Requirements 4-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering design. Prior work with SolidWorks and PDM. 6 - 8 years' experience in Subcontract Manufacturing projects. Preferred to have basic CAD/3D Modeling knowledge. Proven track record in Operation and Project Management in Manufacturing industries. Strong negotiation skills. Should have experience in Sheet metal Fabrication, Manufacturing Process, Injection Molding and Machined Components. Excellent capability in reading and understanding mechanical and Electrical drawings. Telephone skills, strong verbal, and written communication. Preference to candidates having experience in Electromechanical product developments. Typical Factory: This is a mostly in factory Roles and needs to travel as per projects needs. Irregular hours may be required around Projects Kick Off / Production Line setup and Delivery schedule
