• Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity.
• Database Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities to keep databases up to date with the latest features and security fixes.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve database-related issues reported by users or detected through monitoring tools, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to improve overall expertise and efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring and Capacity Planning: Monitor database performance metrics and usage trends to anticipate capacity requirements and proactively address potential bottlenecks.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Database Support Specialist, with expertise in SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, architecture, and best practices.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies, security management, and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
