What you will do ?The TJX Global Sourcing and Procurement (GS&P) organization is the cornerstone of efficiency and excellence across our diverse business landscape. As a member of our Center of Excellence (COE) team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and optimization, supporting GS&P and the business with operational processes. The COE team consists of 3 pillars / teams; Source to Contract (STC), Procurement and Performance & Analytics (P&A), with each team bringing specialized expertise to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and maximize value across the sourcing and procurement lifecycle.
  • In a matrixed organization, you will lead our COE resources based in India alongside the global program leads.
  • You will be jointly responsible, alongside the global program leads, for the service delivery of India resources within the global verticals of Sourcing to Contract, Procurement and Analytics.
  • Whilst responsible for the operational output you will have a strong focus on talent development with responsibility for identifying talent needs, designing and delivering training programs, and developing career paths for our COE India team members.
  • Provides leadership to a team of 30 COE resources based in India across $7 9 billion non-merchandise spend.
  • Ensures organizations operational and financial goals are met including percentage of spend under contract, quality of tenders published, percentage of spend ordered through preferred route, percentage of spend on catalog, savings targets, responsiveness to queries, etc.
  • Maintains and provides a current understanding of the latest trends and best practices in sourcing and procurement.
  • Develops practical plans to enhance operational efficiency continuously.
  • Identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Establishes metrics, monitors and tracks performance of the team.
  • Monitor workload and allocates resources to effectively deliver.
  • Works with global programs leads to expand services offered from the India location.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the COE.
  • Manages staff (onsite) and develops them for future growth within the department and organization.
  • Coaches staff on performance and professional development. Motivates staff to achieve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conducts performance appraisals, interviews, and discipline / corrective actions.
What you will need ?

  • Can demonstrate their experience and standing up new teams, managing large operational teams, people management, talent development, processes improvement, audit compliance and category management support.
  • You will collaborate with our Global Program Leads to work out how to best deliver objectives and ongoing efforts towards key business outcomes.
  • You will work with our finest business partners to correlate ongoing efforts with key business outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement, at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Substantial experience in change management and standing up teams.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Working in an international company and having global process expertise.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
  • Category Expertise in a variety of in-direct verticals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or Business.
