How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The overall purpose of the BD position is:Support sales and achieve desired sales nos for the West region under welding and cutting and developing & maintaining profitable business. Collaborate with Sales manager and sales representatives for optimum solution and to enhance profitable business development with primarily reporting to PG - Regional Sales Manager. Position is based at Pune.The key target is to achieve new business gains and sales growth under the Welding and Cutting segment within the Sales policies through effective management and leadership.Key Job Accountabilities (and related activities)Application developmentUnderstand the applications of customers, analyze data, propose suitable solutions and conduct trials / demo if need be.Develop roadmap & strategy for new business development by introducing new applications. Facilitate necessary support by collaborating with internal & external stakeholders.Demonstrate agreed performance parameters to customers & get their agreement on success on trials.Collaborate with Auto & Fab market manager / ALTEC Expert in providing the solution or resolving field issues, as necessary and develop expertise in Welding & CuttingTo take part in conferences for prospecting campaigns/actions.Ensure AL-Safety practices in field & documentation per IMS requirement.Sales SupportTo make new customers with the help of sales representatives in W&C.Tracking of prospects with weekly review with sales rep .Under welding and cutting segment.PG Regional Market Knowledge with a strong focus on welding cutting.Gather information using market intelligence crossed with local assessment. Report to the management, sales team & make an action plan (A&F tracking sheet ).Lead generation for the Sales Team , regular interaction with the sales team for the progress of the prospect status, advise the techno-commercial action plan accordingly, and visit the prospects / customers to get the trial / demo done if need be.Regular Interaction with Welding Cutting OEM’s and develops good relationships.Mentoring/training of sales team members on Welding/cutting application and related aspectsCustomer retention activities by addressing their process / quality related issues or by advising value added technical solutions.Conducting CBA & feasibility validation based on the feedback from sales or customers.Protect customer portfolio against competitor attacks through value addition.Regularly monitor application based sales & its profitability.Collaborate with cross functional teams like Sales, ALTEC, CES & other stakeholders to finalize Proposals, Contracts, strategies , execution etc.Operational Parameters of the RoleThis is a full time role working across a Monday to Friday week (during normal business hours), and is based at the Regional office. Travel, both within the region and interstate, will be required, at times. Additional hours will be required as business needs dictate.Are you a MATCH?Experience - 2 to 5 Years
