Job Description We are looking to add an energetic and self-motivated Senior Cloud Database Engineer to our high performing global team of Database Engineering Experts. This role involves architecting, implementing and supporting technological solutions with Oracle database in AWS for revenue generating applications that drive the TR business. The candidate should have strong technical, excellent communication and collaboration, as well as time and project management skills. About The Role Hands on experience on Oracle database in Amazon Managed Platform (AMS) Working Experience on AWR Cloud Infrastructure both in Cloud Native (AWS) and Cloud Ready (AMS) offerings Design, implement, and maintain security protocols and solutions for Oracle databases Manage Oracle database user access control, roles, and privileges in alignment with security policies Experience in Oracle database auditing Implement database encryption at rest and in transit Implement separation of duties to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access Understanding of security best practices for Linux/Unix operating systems Deep understanding of AWS security specific services Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in database security. Knowledge of tools like AWS Cloud Formation Template Experience in migrating databases from legacy infrastructure to AWS Cloud (AMS) Database Infra Automation using IAC and Python Experience with CI/CD pipelines in AWS. About You: Effective communication skills at all levels both spoken and written. Translate highly technical solutions/problems into clear language useful to audiences at varying technical levels. Prepare high quality technical and non-technical documentation, present it clearly to interested parties. Communicate in a professional manner when interacting across staff levels and internal/external customers. Coach and mentor new joiners and junior database engineers - help them solve technical problems, drive their learning path. Work collaboratively and effectively with Business, Engineering/Support teams, Vendors. Be a role model to the rest of the members within and outside the team in technical, personal, behavioral and corporate citizenship. Participate and contribute to technology events/forums like Technify, Unconference, team meetings etc. Business Acumen and Strategy (15%) Map business requirements to technical solutions. Proactively generate relevant ideas for new and improved operations or use of technology. Understand the impact of new projects and technical impacts to supported systems. Collaborate with peers, team leads and managers to deliver a reliable and efficient database service. 4-6 years' experience including providing support for mission critical production databases, developing database Engineering Services for Oracle databases in AWS. Prior working experience using agile development framework and best practices. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines independently toward assigned goals with minimum supervision. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to make presentations to professional peers and work closely with management. Display ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations.
