Storage Performance Engineer work with Storage Architechts, Product Owners, SME and Research to practively identify and remove performance bottlenecks and drive Storage Scale and ESS performance to the next level. They present at User group meetings and interact with customers. They analyse hot customer performance defects and implement code fixes with Scale and ESS. They drive performance using standard benchmark tests (io500, IOR, Condor, FIO, Spec SFS on Nvidia hardware for AI workload) and overcome performance bottlenecks by continous code developementRequired Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Performance engineering skills for Software defined storage / filesystem products
- Knowledge of Storage concepts, Knowledge of File protocols
- Applied knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as C, C++, Fortran Bash, CSH, TSCH, Perl, Python, Ruby
- Applied knowledge of Ethernet networking and other network environments
- Applied knowledge of Linux distros such as : RHEL, SLES, Ubuntu
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Applied knowledge of Computer Engineering principals
- Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work and ability to multitask
- Good communication skills, clarity in written and oral communication
- Knowledge of standard benchmark tests (io500, IOR, Condor, FIO, Spec SFS on Nvidia hardware for AI workload)
- Proven skills to overcome performance bottlenecks by continous code developement
- Applied Knowledge of Containers
- Master knowledge of Ethernet networking and other network environments.
