IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: Read books and correct it for Audiobook creation Edit, add and improve the audio delivery output Ideate and Suggest creative insights to authors with regards to converting their books to audiobooks. If needed, communicate with authors regarding editing queries via comments in manuscripts, note to authors, calls or emails Work independently and report back to the Editor at Notion Press on specific tasks as assigned to you Attention to detail and a passion for editorial excellence Troubleshoot and display the ability to deal with fast track/difficult manuscripts A PERFECT CANDIDATE HAS: Excellent grammar and spelling skills Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills Hands on experience with MS Office and Adobe Basic audio/video editing skills An eye for detail and be very accurate in their work along with critical thinking Imagination and good visual sense The ability to be diplomatic with feedback to first-time authors To be able to give clear, accurate instructions to authors To understand their target audience To be able to make decisions independently To be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Awareness of best practices in editing and industry trends in self-publishing Sound like a fit We can't wait to hear from you.
