SUMMARY As the Senior Category Manager of our portfolio of brands within our thriving eCommerce company, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our brand strategy, growth, and overall success. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of a portfolio of brands, ensuring their alignment with our company's vision and values, and driving profitable business outcomes. This role requires exceptional entrepreneurial skills, a deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. WHY JOIN US I've been involved in the eCommerce space right after graduating from IIT Delhi. Me and my current co-founder Chandrashekar have built successful, bootstrapped and profitable eCommerce businesses in North America as well as India which have generated over $15M in revenue and have a combined experience of 16+ years. We are now building ShineXPro which has scaled to an ARR of 30 Cr in net revenue, within 2 years of its launch, profitably and bootstrapped. You get to be part of this rocket ship as we replicate the same winning formula with more consumer brands in other categories. RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Strategy and Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy for our House of Brands, including brand positioning, target audience identification, and competitive analysis. Identify new brand opportunities and conduct market research to assess their viability and potential for success. Drive brand development initiatives, including brand identity, naming, visual design, and messaging, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. Define brand guidelines and standards to maintain brand integrity and alignment across the portfolio. Portfolio Management: Oversee the overall management of the brand portfolio, including brand performance, product assortment, and pricing strategies. Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and make data-driven decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure successful brand launches and ongoing brand management. Regularly analyze brand performance metrics, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights to optimize brand performance and maximize profitability. Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team responsible for brand management, marketing, and creative execution. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging creativity and pushing boundaries to drive brand success. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering their growth and career progression. Foster strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to leverage their expertise and support brand initiatives. Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with other co-founders and executives to align brand strategies with overall company goals and objectives. Work closely with the marketing team to develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition. Build strategic partnerships and alliances with relevant industry stakeholders to expand brand reach and explore new business opportunities. Represent the company and its brands at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements, establishing thought leadership and driving brand recognition. Qualifications: Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a senior leadership role, preferably as a co-founder, within an eCommerce company or a house of brands. Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of successfully launching and scaling brands. Deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, including marketplace dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends. Exceptional strategic thinking abilities with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective brand strategies. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
