Senior QA Manual Test Engineer

• The successful candidate will fulfil the following responsibilities:
• Participate in requirements analysis, understand details of the requirement and required validation/success criteria.
• Design and execute detailed and comprehensive user test cases to validate technical data-based solutions to the requirement.
• Coordinate with and educate developers on test results, explaining the gaps in validating the requirements, what changes must be made in the software and why, their relative criticality and prioritization for go-live.
• Engage users and business / stakeholders providing appropriate test results, explaining why they validate original requirements and resolving any gaps in understanding.
• Improve existing software
• Develop quality documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Resolution of assigned tasks in a timely fashion and escalation where necessary.
• Maintain and follow appropriate standards.

• 8+ years of experience in designing test cases for functionally rich and complex applications.
• Experience of manual, ETL, and database testing (good at writing SQL queries and understanding logic) throughout the full development lifecycle.
• well versed in UI testing and its concepts. Testing experience includes Smoke testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Usability Testing, and user Acceptance Testing
• Experience in writing/contributing to a test strategy.
• Experience in writing detailed, structured test scripts using best practice design principles.
• Experience in providing estimations for a set of modules or projects and suggesting resource plans.

• Exposure to test management and automation tools, such as QC, JIRA, and Selenium (good to have). • Banking domain knowledge. • Good verbal and written communication skills.
