Clear knowledge of work procedures and responsibility for completion of projects to time and cost. Assists in the leadership of functional teams or projects. Communicating with the counterpart in the lead office/Client and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to understand project requirements and obtain necessary information. Self-discipline and able to manage own daily work allocation as well as team members. Motivated and experienced Costing and Estimation Expert who can utilize their strong technical skills and will play a critical role in developing accurate and reliable cost estimates for various infrastructure projects. This role will see you play a key role in independently managing the cost estimation process for various projects, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to cost optimization strategies. You will collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver successful projects within budget. Technical Skills . Prepare cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and material quantities for diverse infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, aviation, building and other civil engineering projects. . Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for all project components. . Identify material quantities, labour requirements, equipment needs etc. . Update and maintain cost databases with relevant information. . Consider factors like geographical location, material availability, labour rates, and market conditions when developing cost estimates. . Analyze cost estimates to identify potential cost savings and areas for optimization. . Assist with value engineering studies to identify alternative materials, construction methods, or designs that could reduce costs while maintaining project quality. Here's what you'll need : Qualifications - External Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. 7-10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation in Infrastructure projects . Soft Skills : . Utilize industry-standard tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu) to analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings. . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. . Ability to work independently and as part of a team. . Understanding of relevant infrastructure construction regulations and standards. . Familiarity with construction materials, labour, and equipment costs. . Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
