- Establish a clear strategy (plan) for the pursuit, positioning and conversion of our major projects and programme targets in region.
- Engage with clients to showcase our major projects proposition and capability through practical, project-specific value adds.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the set up and planning of major projects including matters of programme, procurement strategy, site and construction logistics planning, project team organisational development and reporting/controls.
- Plan and manage the scale up of our major projects team including the onboarding of senior project resources for appointed commissions across the Asian region.
- Act as Major Projects Director for key commissions and/or programs, with involvement setting up people, processes and systems for success.
- Responsible for reporting on major projects performance to the Asia management team.
- Lead in ensuring project assurance activities are undertaken in accordance with corporate standards, working in coordination with our Operations Director, Asia. Provide follow up and feedback to commission leads and/or business unit leads as applicable.
- Implement and deliver best practice project and construction management services across the region.
- Provide key technical and commercial advice to clients across major projects.
- Manage key client accounts and winning new business through organic growth and referral opportunities.
- Embrace and work in a digital project management environment using in-house and partner systems, tools and methodologies.
- Act as a role model and brand ambassador who drives One Business culture and embodies the values of Turner & Townsend
- Develop and coach/mentor project teams.
- Support our industry professional bodies, through committee participation, thought leadership and public speaking / presentations and help shape best practice.
- Exemplary leadership and stakeholder engagement skills and experience.
- Experience leading complex and major projects and programs (in excess of $200m USD), from tender to completion.
- Established connections into Major Projects organisations and client bodies in India is preferred
- Ability to influence, advise and recommend appropriate course of action to management and executives within client or partner organizations.
- Experience is in a complex stakeholder environment reporting regularly to key stakeholders including internal teams, appointed technical partners and the client.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Results oriented with high work ethic, stringent quality standards and a commitment to action.
- Strong knowledge and experience in building assets of various real estate sectors.
- Ability to be mobilized across Asia for the set up of major projects and undertake routine visits to assure existing commissions
- Degree in relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
- Chartered/qualified with RICS, PMI, APM, or equivalent.
- Proven track record managing large portfolios and/or programs of work:
- Strong and current understanding of real estate industry trends.
- Experienced in variety of methods of procurement and forms of contract.
