Mandatory Skills: - Possesses understanding and good technical knowledge in the areas of Mechanical engineering - Manufacturing process and machinery capabilities - Good experience in conceptual design - Ability to create and interpret Engineering Drawings. - Conduct engineering analyses including structural and thermal FEA using (ANSYS/NX) tools, utilizing engineering principles, research data and product specifications. - Good understanding and interpretation of GD&T. - Knowledge on Raw materials and their sources - Familiarity with full design life cycle process. - Hands on experience in Pro-E/CREO (preferred) and / or CATIA around 2 years - Awareness of industrial trends and ability to identify opportunities for exploring them to our benefit - Ability to deliver informative and well organized presentations. Preferred Skills: - Structural and Thermal analysis hands-on experience with FEA tools (ANSYS/NX) - Good exposure in DFA, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Testing (DFT). - Ability to function independently - Good team player, attitude and continuous learning - Excellent problem solving skills, technical passion and drive - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Familiar with Quality tools, Six sigma process - Knowledge in Optics - M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with min. 4 years or B.Tech with min. 6 years of experience with excellent technical skills and capabilities in product design and development in mechanical and electro-mechanical products
