Job Brief: We are seeking a trustworthy and detail-oriented Finance Accountant Officer to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Your primary duties will include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns. The ideal candidate should possess previous experience in bookkeeping, a keen eye for numerical accuracy, and the ability to ensure compliance with all tax regulations. Ultimately, you will provide accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business. Responsibilities : Manage all accounting transactions: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budget management. Prepare budget forecasts: Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and maintain accurate budget forecasts. Publish financial statements on time: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and publication of financial statements. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings: Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable: Regularly reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records. Ensure timely bank payments : Oversee timely processing of all bank payments. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns: Calculate taxes owed and prepare accurate tax returns. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements: Maintain and update balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Report on the company's financial health and liquidity: Provide regular reports on the financial health, liquidity, and cash flows of the business. Audit financial transactions and documents: Conduct internal audits of financial transactions and documents. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary: Ensure the confidentiality of financial data and conduct regular database backups. Comply with financial policies and regulations: Adhere to all financial policies and regulations, ensuring full compliance. Requirements: Must-Have: 3+ years of work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Services Sector. B.Commerce degree from a reputed college with 70% marks. Good understanding of Accounting concepts like Accrual Accounting, Work In Progress Calculation, Revenue Recognition, Revenue Matching principles, and Depreciation Accounting. Hands-on experience with various compliances including Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, etc. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Hands-on experience with accounting software like ZohoBooks, FreshBooks, or QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Additional certification (CA Inter) is a plus. Should Have: Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices. Experience in financial data analysis. Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Have: Knowledge of emerging accounting technologies. Experience in process improvement initiatives.
