The individual in this role will have to work independently advising on various IT Data Centre and cloud operational issues and providing the best solution and advise within the framework of applicable regulations and licensing conditions.Key AccountabilitiesDuty Statements
  • Setting up new servers and configuring them to meet the organization's requirements, including installing operating systems, software applications, and necessary network services.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as installing software updates and patches, monitoring server performance and resource utilization, and troubleshooting issues to ensure servers operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Creating and managing user accounts in AD, groups, and access permissions to ensure appropriate access to server resources while maintaining security and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Implementing security measures to protect servers from unauthorized access, data breaches, malware, and other security threats. This includes access controls, as well as conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Planning and implementing backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of hardware failures, data corruption, or other disasters. Responsible for scheduling and monitoring backups, as well as testing and executing disaster recovery procedures when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes. He may also prepare reports on server performance, security incidents, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring server usage trends and forecasting future resource requirements to ensure servers can accommodate the organization's growing need. He may recommend hardware upgrades, virtualization solutions, or other scalability measures to optimize server performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Working closely with other IT members including network team, EUS team, , Security team and help desk team, to coordinate server-related tasks, resolve issues, and implement changes. Effective communication skills are essential for conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders and coordinating efforts across departments.
  • Maintain data centres and environmental facilities including but not limited to UPS, backup power, fire prevention systems, Troubleshoot issues within the data centre and physical infrastructure.
  • Managing & Maintaining MS Windows 2019, Configuration of Active Directory, Active Directory Role Assumptions, sites and Service Organizing, Managing Group Policy, Managing and configuration DNS Server, MS Patch's updation.
