We are looking for a Senior Manager to join the Sales & Use Tax practice at a major client in the financial sector in Mumbai. We look for individuals who welcome new ideas, encourage innovation, and are eager to make an impact.Location: Mumbai, IndiaFunctions * Managing sales tax compliance process for clients' sales tax returns.

Interacting with clients and overseeing staff.
Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues.
Notice resolution and business licenses for clients.

Requirements * Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field (preferred).

Specific Specialties: CMI (sales tax) designation (preferred), Masters in Taxation (preferred), CPA (preferred).
Minimum Experience: 8+ years experience with sales tax compliance.

Skills * Experience with sales tax preparation software (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, One Source, TaxJar).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Alteryx or Power BI (a plus); Quickbooks, Shopify, and Stripe platforms.
Understanding of sales and use tax issues, including exemption, deductions, prepayments, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries.
Experience working directly with clients and global counterparts.
Leadership skills, including team development and onboarding experience.
Ability to work effectively with both US and India management.
Experience across multiple industries (retail, pharma, software companies, etc.).

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Salary: 38000USD
