Create detailed architecture designs, data models, and technical specifications.· Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Mentor team members on best practices, design patterns, and Greenplum development methodologies.· Lead or participate in the development of data analytics solutions using Greenplum, including data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and SQL queries. Write efficient, optimized SQL code to extract insights from large datasets.· Optimize Greenplum queries, indexes, and database configurations for performance and scalability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization, data partitioning, and workload management.· Design and implement integrations between Greenplum and other data sources, applications, and platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between Greenplum and heterogeneous environments.· Implement security controls and compliance measures in Greenplum solutions to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance. Configure authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing features according to security best practices.· Set up monitoring tools and processes to track the health and performance of Greenplum databases and clusters. Monitor resource utilization, query performance, and system logs to proactively identify and address issues.· Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for Greenplum databases to ensure data availability and integrity. Develop disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize data loss and downtime.· Create comprehensive documentation for Greenplum solutions, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and best practices. Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams on Greenplum usage and maintenance.· Build and maintain relationships with Greenplum representatives and service providers. Stay updated with the latest Greenplum features, updates, and roadmap to leverage new capabilities in solution designs.· Continuously assess the effectiveness of Greenplum solutions and identify opportunities for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to optimize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Qualifications we seek in you!Minimum Qualifications· Hands-on experience specifically with Greenplum database technology.· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
