Position Overview Siemens is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Engineer Senior (Full Stack) within the R&D team for Siemens Opcenter Research, Development and Laboratory. This product delivers all the core capabilities a modern PLM solution should deliver for the CPG market. The position is a member of a Feature Team in a Scrum development environment. As a full stack position, the engineer will be expected to fulfill all roles within the feature team in a fast-paced environment that requires cooperation, collaboration, and shared responsibility across the team. This position will be located in Pune, India and reports to the local Development Manager. This is a non-Managerial position. Responsibilities The Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) is accountable for finding architectural solutions, developing, testing and documenting new and modified functionality within the Opcenter RD&L application. In a fast paced Agile environment, the position works across functional domains to apply their experiences and skills to varied engineering tasks including, but not limited to, specification design, programming, unit testing, code review, debugging, defect resolution, test design, test authoring, test automation, and documentation authoring. Specifics Contribute to design discussions and in creating Detailed Design requirements based on software functional requirements. Implement and test functionality to support the Opcenter RD&L platform and toolset. Contribute to the development of the components required ranging from simple to complex application features. Development and execution of unit tests to support ongoing development efforts. Maintain development environments in a multiple branch software code management system Learn and understand the build, release, and patch creation process Investigate and resolve reported defects Deliver code and work that will be reviewed and approved by other developers Interact and support members of the cross-functional implementation team Provide technical assistance to, and seek advice from, other team members Provide technical support to multiple teams including other cross-functional teams, global support, and services among others Profile In our team respect, openness and commitment are key values we work with every day. Required Knowledge/Skills 12+ years of software development experience and experience working on enterprise solutions Outstanding technical problem solving, debugging skills and Web development Understanding of next generation virtualization and orchestration solutions using containerization including but not limited to Docker, Kubernetes Exposure to AWS/Azure cloud services Expertise on the Microsoft technology stack (ASP.NET MVC 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5, Web API, SQL Server, EF Core, .Net Core 6+ and higher as we support multitarget frameworks) Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. Experience with REST API's and application Security (including design and testing) Good knowledge of client side scripting - JavaScript and JQuery, Kendo, Knockout js Good knowledge of SOLID principles and Design patterns Experience working with build management/CI tools Solid and demonstratable understanding of building test automation and testing of commercial grade software Knowledge and understanding of Source Control such as TFS and GIT Team player with good communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills Ability to mentor technical teams and evaluate software artefacts. Assist in establishing and supporting coding standards Excellent verbal and written communications skills. English is the predominant language used in the team Preferred Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of NUnit or other unit testing frameworks is a plus, but not mandatory Knowledge about static and dynamic code analysis using tools like SonarQube or likewise is a plus, but not mandatory Ability to propose solutions for design and architecture is a plus, but not mandatory Demonstratable understanding of complex software troubleshooting techniques is a plus, but not mandatory Demonstratable understanding of non-functional requirements like performance, scalability and security is a plus, but not mandatory Education/Experience Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field is highly desired.
