Siamo Recruitment continue to support a prestigious client specialising in the engineered electronics industry, currently seeking a Buyer to join their committed and driven teams.You the experienced Buyer will be responsible for a various task such as ensuring products are purchased at the most competitive price and in a timely manner alongside issuing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining the inventory levels of the organisation.You will be an artist in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management as you secure the best value for the organisation, while also maintaining strong internal collaboration between various departments such as the Commercial team and Supply Chain Manager.Residing in Fairford, our client desires a naturally charismatic individual with a flair for persuasion and negotiation along with core analytical awareness and attention to detail.This position awards the right individual the opportunity to become a valued asset within our clients thriving enterprise enabling you to explore and progress to more senior leadership positions prioritising your career plan.What can our client offer you?

This Buyer vacancy will hold the below responsibilities:

Working Closely with the Commercial team and supply chain manager to ensure customer deliveries are on time.
Monitor market pricing and identify areas of opportunity and cost saving whilst ensuring compliance with our standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers.
Liaise and manage supplier relationships by verifying acknowledgements and notifying of discrepancies.
Work in line with control framework and carry our annual reviews.
Carry out weekly stock checks for consumable parts and place orders where required.
Attend and assist with supplier review meetings.
Support the strategic purchasing team in generating purchase price variance (PPV) reports in line with business requirements.
Prepare all documents required for both internal and external audits.
Add, reduce and maintain Vendor Base in line with group targets.

The ideal candidate for this Buyer vacancy will hold the below:

Previous exposure within a manufacturing procurement-based role being essential.
CIPS Qualification being extremely advantageous.
Proven exposure in supplier and contract management.
Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced IT skillset working with Excel and the full suite of Microsoft office.
A high level of attention detail and good prioritisation of work
Ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
