The Group:Morningstar’s Wealth Management Operations group is a global team guided by Morningstar’s investment principles focused on delivering great long-term investment results to help end-investors reach their financial goals. We use our expertise in Client onboarding, Asset setup/ Allocation, Investment selection, Bank and Trade reconciliation, Fee collection & Payments, Audit Fees, Performance Reporting, Income distributions, Factsheet Reporting and Portfolio Reconciliation to create world-class Investment Strategies leveraging the full resources of Morningstar. The group specializes in multiasset investing, using equities, fixed income, and alternative investments to construct robust portfolios. Through our investment offerings, we serve financial advisers and institutions, and the investors that they serve. TheRole:Morningstar seeks an Operations Analyst / Senior Operations Analyst to join our Wealth Operations Team. This will be a key role in our mission to provide an exceptional client experience. This position is based in our Mumbai office.Responsibilities:· Assist with Projects by developing plans and procedures and providing clear communications to others on the team.· Provide overall clear expectations of employee standards from a workload perspective.· Ensure training of staff is scheduled and completed, as needed, or identified by others.· Lead by example and assist in setting standards for clear client communication and overall customer satisfaction.· Oversee quality assurance by ensuring data standards and deadlines are met.· Act as back-up for Wealth Operations Team lead when needed.· Identify and help in developing team strengths and improve areas of vulnerability· Address customer concerns in reference to services rendered or employee interactions.· Ensure self goals and objectives are being met.· Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behaviour.· Assist in creation/tracking of Team Objective and Key Results (OKR)· Strong business knowledge and acumen· Excellent written and verbal communications, as well as interpersonal skills.· Assertiveness to ask questions and pursue open issues until resolution in a positive and professional manner.· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, communication, organizational and time management skills.· Proven capabilities to proactively address potential issues, balance competing demands, and prioritize issues to quickly respond to critical priorities.· Bachelor’s degree (accounting or finance) Post graduate preferred but not essential· To ensure timely delivery of Morningstar’s client service efforts by assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, client presentations/ reports and adhoc requests as required.Competencies:· Strong communication skills.· Strong analytical and quantitative skills.· Attention to Detail.· Methodical Problem-Solving Skills.· Excellent Organization Skills (Email, Task Management, Follow-up).· Self-Motivated.· Goal Oriented.· Team Player.Requirements:· To ensure timely delivery of Morningstar’s client service efforts by assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, client presentations/ reports and adhoc requests as required.· Analyse and enhance data and performance reporting processes with the aim of streamlining reporting and data handling. Actively look for and utilise available internal systems and databases to enhance reporting and analysis delivered to external clients and the Investments team.· Experience in quality improvement, process analysis highly regarded.· Up to 4-5 years of experience in the financial services industry.· An understanding of the Financial Services marketplace that applies to Wealth Managers.· Proactive with a strong initiative, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.· Excellent organisation and time management skills.· Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.· Knowledge of investment instruments across all asset classes would be advantageous.· Focuses on meeting commitments and delivering results to a high standard.· Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with detail orientation and accuracy. Excellent computer & Excel skills.· Demonstrate self-motivation in an independent, fast-paced work environment.· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Morningstar is an equal opportunity employer.
