This role will present you with the opportunity to help shape the manufacture and assembly of some of the worlds most luxurious, high performance Automotive manufactures. Roles and Responsibilities You will be responsible for the full design lifecycle of the products that Akshay produce, this includes defining concepts and developing them into fully functioning 3D models; this incorporates designing for manufacture / assembly, defining testing requirements and designing for an efficient installation / integration and hand over to the projects delivery team. The role of mechanical design engineer comprises of the following: - Initial project review and scope of requirements with the project delivery team. - Creating fully functioning 3D CAD models of mechanical systems, special purpose machinery, assembly fixtures, production jigs, mechanical handling systems and industrial automated systems using the latest version of Solidworks. - Creating, checking, and approving 2D manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation drawings. - Running and participating in design reviews in accordance with internal and customers design standards and relevant legislation. - Liaising between design and manufacturing to understand manufacturing constrains or requirements that need to be accounted for. - Working in an energetic environment you will play a key role in delivering multiple high-tech projects with a strong professional Engineering support network guiding and coaching you to excellence. - Akshay will provide you with the opportunity to invent and develop solutions and Equipments whilst pushing the boundaries of your current knowledge and skill set.
