Position Overview:In this role, you will provide hands-on Data engineering service leadership for Evernorth teams. You will be working on several of the largest Technology initiatives for Evernorth targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery system in the United States. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance our market winning capabilities in the Evernorth space.The Evernorth Technology strategy is fully aligned with our business strategy, resulting in an opportunity for you to influence in various directions this includes technology / business direction but also recruiting and mentoring employees and influencing selection of and relationships with vendor resources to ultimately build and contribute within a world class Delivery Vertical.This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Evernorth management who are motivated to see the successful results of our efforts.Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, vision, and architectural / design direction for the team.
- Leads the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Aligns engineering solutions with the Technology strategy and supports the applications requirements.
- Plans and implements procedures to maximize engineering and operating efficiency for application integration technologies.
- Identifies opportunities and drives process improvements.
- Takes accountability for the technology assets owned by the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements for testing purposes.
- Design, develop, and maintain test data management systems and frameworks.
- Implement automated solutions for generating, provisioning, and masking test data.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of test data environments.
- Optimize data workflows and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Create and maintain documentation for test data infrastructure and processes.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolution.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in test data management and engineering.
- 10+ years of experience with at least 5+ years of leading / managing technical teams with a passion for the developing the talent within the team.
- Experience with vendor management in an onshore / offshore model.
- Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Test Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Hands-on experience with data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and techniques for data masking and anonymization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Industry certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and practices
