Manager Legal - Intellectual property rights

• Support local and international technology center, product development, and marketing teams on patents, designs, and copyright matters.
• Manage stakeholders and collaborate with global law firms on intellectual property rights (IPR) issues.
• Provide strategy in patents, designs, trademarks, and copyright matters, including conducting various searches and risk assessments.
• Draft and vet patent specifications/applications, handle IP-related litigations, and enforce IP rights.
• Draft technology-related agreements and contracts, including assignment/licensing of IPR.
• Ensure timely renewal and protection of patents, designs, and trademarks.
• Negotiate with third parties and possess strong drafting skills.

• Should have 7 to10 years or more of post-qualification experience as a IP/ patent lawyer in a reputable IP law firm, or in-house experience with the legal department, preferably in a multinational company
• Should have expertise in handling IPR related matters (patents, designs, trademarks), from filing for registration of IP to handling disputes in various jurisdictions
• Sound legal knowledge and analytical approach to legal issues (exposure to project management)
• Experience of working in an IP law firm and automobile manufacturing company is preferable
• Strong communication and drafting skills and fluency in English (both written and oral).
• Able to work in the team
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be excellent in MS office and comfortable with new technology
• Work experience in the Electric Vehicle and automobile Industry is good
