Job Description We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Java + AEM Engineer to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development along with proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), specifically CQ versions with classic UI. This position requires expertise in Java/J2EE technologies with a significant focus on AEM development. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Java and AEM solutions. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and components according to best practices and design patterns. Utilize AEM (CQ) with classic UI to create and customize components, templates, workflows, and dialogs. Implement and integrate third-party systems and services with AEM, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. Optimize AEM configurations and performance to deliver responsive and scalable web applications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Java and AEM applications, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members to foster skill development. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Java and AEM development, incorporating relevant technologies into projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE development, with a strong command of core Java concepts and frameworks. Extensive hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including CQ versions with classic UI. Proficiency in developing custom components, templates, and workflows within AEM to meet business requirements. Solid understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX. Experience with RESTful web services, servlets, and other Java-based web frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience in a contractual or consulting role is preferred.
